IPL laser hair removal treatment procedure

We would advise a course of 6-8 laser treatments with 4-6 week intervals in between for the best results, depending on area. The area of unwanted hair growth is covered with a thick gel, the applicator is pressed against the skin and in one flash your treatment in that area is complete. The applicator is then moved on to the next area to be treated until the whole area has been covered.

IPL v Laser - what's the difference?

With both IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and laser treatments the hair is removed for a long time, often permanently. IPL is faster than conventional laser, with a bigger treatment area. Both are light based, although with IPL being a broad based light emitter you get the benefits of part skin rejuvenation and collagen enhancement, as part of the light spectrum for these treatments is used.

IPL hair removal v electrolysis v waxing

Electrolysis can be very painful and highly expensive. With waxing, hair needs to be grown before treatment, which is not always convenient. IPL hair removal is a long term cost effective and relatively comfortable, non-invasive hair removal procedure using pulsed light. Should I avoid the sun and tanning?

You are advised to avoid sun exposure, including sun beds, 30 days prior to laser hair removal treatment and 30 days after treatment. It is best to avoid sun exposure completely during treatment if possible.
